 I’m calling to remind you that the eighth and current extension of the highway bill expires on March 31 and it is crucial that Congress passes a new multi-year highway bill before then. SAFETEA-LU expired on Sept. 30, 2009 – 838 days ago. Unless action is taken soon to pass a bill, the congressional schedule and campaign season will make it nearly impossible to enact a bill this year. My company needs the certainty of a multi-year highway bill so we can make plans for this construction season as to how many employees we will need and what equipment we might have to purchase.

Please support quick action on passage of a multi-year highway bill that continues current funding at a minimum. Make transportation reauthorization job number one!
